Fallen Palm Bridge

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia | 2026

Designed by Landworks Studio.

The Fallen Palm Bridge is a pedestrian connection that links the elevated and lower levels of the new urban park within Riyadh's Financial District, creating a continuous and universally accessible landscape. Replacing the retaining walls that once separated grade changes, the design uses topography and the bridge as a single integrated gesture to unify the park. Drawing inspiration from the layered texture and fibrous structure of a fallen date palm trunk, the bridge reinterprets a familiar regional element through a contemporary architectural expression.
