Atelio is a design and fabrication studio founded by landscape architects specializing in 3D-printed objects, architectural elements, and large-scale installations.
Our team first came together through our shared work in landscape architecture, where 3D printing was an essential tool for creating models and exploring design ideas. Over time, our experimentation evolved beyond models and prototypes toward the creation of custom objects and architectural elements that could become part of the built environment itself.
Atelio grew from a shared interest in bringing design and fabrication closer together. Rather than selecting from existing products or relying on costly custom molds and traditional fabrication methods, 3D printing allows us to develop objects specifically for each project. This flexibility opens new possibilities for form, material, and scale, allowing the objects we create to become an integral part of the design process rather than an addition to it.
Through continued experimentation with materials and emerging technologies, we explore new ways to translate ideas into tangible, functional, and site-specific work.
Our Team
Atelio is led by a small team of designers and makers with backgrounds in landscape architecture, architecture, graphic design, and creative placemaking. Our combined expertise brings together a shared passion for design, material exploration, and emerging technologies. Through a collaborative, hands-on approach, we combine creative thinking with technical knowledge to develop innovative objects and installations that connect people with place.
